Located in Bay Harbor Island in Miami Beach, this villa was designed like a boutique hotel to honor the memory of Lenny Kravitz’s mother, Roxie Roker. Designed for entertainment and inspired in interiors of the 1970’s , most of the furniture was design by BNODesign and all lighting was either antiques or custom made by ABYU Lighting. In addition to the main house, there is a separate two-story guest house, a pool, hammock garden and a professional gym with custom seagrass flooring. The Primary Bedroom upstairs with view of the bay, features a clear acrylic bed surrounded by a ring of metal beads, a siting room, two huge walk-in closets, elegant bathroom, and steam room with a terrace. We kept the spaces throughout the villa flowing into each other as much as possible and with Mr. Kravitz’s assistance, collected a variety of modern and period furniture pieces found all over the country including NYC, Miami, Los Angeles and even San Juan, PR. We mostly used a white color scheme palette which ended up being the perfect background to integrate the client’s eclectic art collection and fashion sense.
